Table reservations - availability calculations update

We are pleased to announce an important improvement to our existing table reservations management application.

Enhanced availability calculation

We have significantly upgraded the availability calculation feature to ensure a more accurate and reliable booking process for both customers and site owners.

While several safeguards were already in place to help avoid overbooking, such as pacing settings, which limit the number of bookings or covers per booking interval, this update further improves the reliability of the availability calculator.

Key improvements:

• Real-time availability checks: The system now performs comprehensive availability assessments when a customer requests a booking through the website or when a site owner creates a manual booking via the My Easy Eatery control panel.
• Comprehensive capacity evaluation: This enhanced calculation considers not only the venue’s capacity at the start time of the booking but also ensures that capacity remains available for all time slots that the booking will span, before permitting a booking for a given time-slot.
