Development update: October 2022

Welcome to our second Easy Eatery development update.

October has been a busy one, that's for sure. While this month's update is less massive than September's, that's not to say we've been kicking back.

October was a hectic month; we've progressed Easy Eatery across several areas and remain on course to launch in full next year.

An update on Early Access.

We've made considerable progress in the past month towards launching Early Access.

Our hosting infrastructure is now online, and we've been exhaustively testing Easy Eatery on our live environment to ensure everything works as expected.

Our very first Early Access website is now complete and undergoing content entry.

The first website is also for our first customer, the folks at The New Tredegar Arms.

They trusted Easy Eatery and supported us early on with our prototype, so it's only fitting that they should be the first to benefit from a shiny new website.

You can find a sneak peek of their new website at the top of this page, but if all goes well, it should be live to the World before Christmas.

We're also delighted with how our early-access websites perform in the real World. Whilst our prototype was no slouch, our early-access websites run even faster.

We've begun to flesh out our support portal.

In anticipation of more companies joining our early access programme, we've begun to write our documentation for Easy Eatery.

We'll be launching our support website early in the new year. It'll be full of comprehensive documentation for every feature within Easy Eatery, quick-start guides, theming guides, and so much more.

Our upcoming support portal will contain all you need to know about running your Easy Eatery website.

We're pressing on with updates and new features.

While we've been busy getting our first 'proper' website ready for launch, we've remained hard at work, planning the next quarter and getting the next set of features ready.

Our theme customiser will make possible 'zero code' changes to our website themes.

First up is our new theme customiser.

In short, this feature makes it possible for site owners and managers to change the appearance of their websites without making code changes.

With our theme customiser, you can easily update the fonts and colours used on your website, plus change image sizes and set any additional custom options that your theme might support.

Our theme customiser is currently in quality control and is undergoing rigorous testing.

You can read more about our theme customiser here.

We've begun designing our purchasable gift vouchers.

One of Easy Eatery's core goals is to bring all the tools and features hospitality businesses need into one affordable product. The first of these tools that'll be coming to Easy Eatery are purchasable gift vouchers.

We're currently in the planning and design phase for this feature; we're on course to begin development in the new year.

Our email builder is ready to go into development.

You've heard of our page builder, our menu builder and maybe even our form builder, but our email builder is brand-new.

This feature will allow anyone to manage the content of their website's emails effortlessly via an easy-to-use block-based HTML email builder.

We identified the need for this tool whilst scoping our gift voucher feature and will go into development at the same time.
